Keep raw bones frozen until ready to use.
To thaw, we recommend thawing in the refrigerator for at least 6 to 12 hours. Once thawed, we recommend serving within 3 days. Not for human consumption.
Raw bones are a potential hazard for dogs and cats. Always supervise your pet when feeding it raw bones. A safe chewing technique for flour bones should involve using the whole mouth, including the back molars, chewing side by side before eating.
TIP: Hand-feeding is a training technique to avoid swallowing. Hold the raw bone in one hand and teach it to chew with the side of the mouth to enjoy the treat before swallowing. Offering frozen raw bones can help prevent greedy eaters from swallowing, and will prolong chewing time for a more pleasurable chew.
