FROG SHIELD
Every day, a horse may spend several hours in the stall, obliged to stay on bedding containing urine and manure. On the other hand, horses that spend most of their time on pasture will be exposed to a very humid environment, depending on the season.
The humidity and acidity of the soil can affect our horses' soles and forks, often rendering them fragile or even damaged.
Kevin Bacon's Frog Shield is an outstanding product recommended by most farriers, riders and horse professionals in the industry. It is recommended on softened, sensitive, malodorous and/or too thin frogs and soles. Applying Frog Shield to the sole and frog of the hoof when re-shoeing and before applying silicone can help maintain the health of the sole, white line and frog.
Thanks to its integrated brush applicator, Frog Shield is quick and easy to use. It adheres perfectly to the sole and frog of the hoof if they are clean and dry. Regular application will promote good health and optimal development of hoof, frog and sole tissues. Frog Shield is suitable for all types of horses, in all seasons, shod or unshod.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Thoroughly brush sole, cracks and frog (without using water!) and remove all dirt and necrotic tissue. Shake bottle a few seconds before application.
- Prevention: 1 application per week.
- Damaged forks: 1 application
- Severely damaged forks: 1 application per day for 3 to 5 days (depending on severity).
You can also apply Frog Shield as often as required.
