FLAT SHANK SWEET IRON SNAFFLE - LEVEL 1
The MB 01 is Myler's alternative to the traditional single-break mouthpiece commonly used in snaffle bits. The MB 01 rotates on the tongue to apply concentrated pressure to the tongue at the center barrel, but because the mouthpiece is curved, it wraps around the bars and lips instead of pinching. The center barrel applies approximately the same pressure on the tongue as a traditional single-break mouthpiece. However, the barrel distributes pressure more evenly, allowing each side of the drill to be used independently. The soft iron mouthpiece oxidizes and promotes salivation.

The 17.8 cm flat shaft is made of stainless steel and slightly curved towards the horse, with flat-top purchase and rein ring. The mouthpiece has a fixed attachment. The flat stem has the patented independent swivel cheek, where the purchase, mouthpiece and stem all move independently of each other. The purchase is angled slightly away from the cheek to avoid friction. It has an indirect braking action (curb) designed for use with a curb strap that attaches to the purchase. The flat shank uses the combination of fixed cheek and fixed rein to apply pressure to the mouth, chin and neck.
