FLAT SHANK SWEET IRON CORRECTION - LEVEL 2-3
The MB 41PB is a truly unique Myler mouthpiece. This mouthpiece is a correctional mouthpiece, an orifice mouthpiece that collapses over the outer lip and bars, and rotates on the tongue. The port has a multi-level design; the base is generously wide with rounded corners, offering virtually the same comfort and tongue relief as a level 3 mouthpiece, while the top is narrower and has pronounced corners. If the horse is relaxed, the tongue can pass comfortably under the wide opening. When the reins are engaged, the mouthpiece collapses over the bars and lips and rotates over the tongue.
The pronounced corners of the port apply two pressure points to the tongue for added control. The result is a mouthpiece that offers maximum tongue relief for the horse, but very good control for the rider. The MB 41PB's unique design and generous tongue relief make it the only corrector that can be used over the long term, perhaps even as a horse's finishing bit. The soft iron mouthpiece oxidizes and promotes salivation.

The 17.8 cm flat stainless steel shaft is slightly curved towards the horse, with a flat top purchase and rein ring. The mouthpiece has a fixed attachment. The flat stem has the patented independent swivel cheek, where the purchase, mouthpiece and stem all move independently of each other. The purchase is angled slightly away from the cheek to avoid rubbing. It has an indirect rein action (curb) designed for use with a curb strap that attaches to the purchase. The flat stem uses the combination of fixed cheek and fixed rein to apply pressure to the mouth, chin and nape of the neck.
