FILET À JOUES PLEINES AVEC CROCHETS - NIVEAU 2
The MB 04 is similar to the MB 02 in that it rotates on the tongue and applies pressure to the tongue, however, it has a small port (¼") which introduces some tongue relief for the horse. The port allows the horse to swallow and move its tongue as it moves forward and is relaxed, acting as a release or reward. The mouthpiece is curved and wraps around the bars and lips instead of pinching.
- Independent lateral movement
- Stainless steel mouthpiece
- Curved mouthpiece does not pinch lips and bars
- Copper inlay
- NO legal training
The full cheek with hooks is a traditional cheek style designed for use with bit holders (sold separately) to hold the mouthpiece in the correct position. The posts also prevent the bit from slipping into the mouth when pressure is applied to the cheek. When used without a bit holder, the bit will stay in the mouth in the same way as a dee or eggbutt without hooks. The ring has a fixed mouthpiece attachment, as well as a rein slot ("hooks") at the bottom of the ring for attaching reins. No curb chain or strap attachment. The rein slot will fit standard ⅝" bridle leather.
Action: Direct rein action when reins are not attached by rein hook. Indirect rein action when rein is attached to rein hook.
Size: 2 ¼" rounded ring, overall height 6".
Discipline: Mainly classical with bit keepers. Commonly used in Western without bit keepers.
Degree of leverage: little or no leverage when hooks are used.
