Product description

VITAMINE E & SELENIUM

Vitamin E and selenium are powerful antioxidants that help protect and maintain cell membrane integrity and boost immune function. Free radicals are generally produced as part of normal cellular metabolism. Cellular damage or oxidative stress results from injury, disease and extreme work or exercise.

As part of the cellular antioxidant defense system, selenium is a component of the enzyme glutathione peroxidase, which is widely distributed throughout the body. This enzyme destroys harmful free radicals and prevents them from damaging cell lipid membranes.

Vitamin E and selenium supplementation is recommended for horses without access to fresh pasture. The vitamin E content of dried hay decreases over time and with soil content. Selenium content is also highly variable.

DOSAGE

Offer 30-60g in daily feed (1 scoop = 15g) WITH veterinary advice. Unnecessary vitamin E & selenium supplementation can be harmful. Always give such supplements under veterinary advice.
