The “swivel panic snap” from Kane Vet Supplies is a type of hardware snap used in animal handling (horses, livestock, etc.). It is a quick-release mechanism — unlike standard snap hooks — that allows the lead rope or tie to be released even when the horse (or animal) is pulling on it. The locking system is separate from the load-bearing structure, so in an emergency (spasm, panic, sudden pull), a single movement — usually pulling a slider or lever — releases the animal safely.
