WITH STOMACH TUBE
The Kerbl 250 ml colostrum feeder is a specialized tool designed to quickly and safely deliver colostrum to newborn lambs, especially those that are weak or unable to nurse on their own. Built for efficiency and ease of use, it allows breeders to administer the exact amount of colostrum needed during the critical first hours of life.
Equipped with a flexible tube system, this feeder enables direct delivery, ensuring the animal receives essential nutrients without relying on natural suckling. The soft, squeezable bottle allows for controlled pressure, making feeding faster while maintaining safety and comfort for the animal.
With a 250 ml capacity and a length of approximately 33 cm, it is perfectly suited for feeding larger lambs without the need for constant refilling. The graduated design helps measure intake accurately, supporting proper early development and immunity transfer.
Durable, lightweight, and easy to clean, this colostrum feeder is an essential piece of equipment for sheep farmers and breeders looking to improve lamb survival rates and ensure optimal start-of-life nutrition.
FEEDING GUIDE
Newborn lambs need a total of 200 ml of colostrum per kg of body weight within the first 24 hours of life. Ideally, they should receive an initial feed of 50 ml/kg within the first 1–2 hours after birth, with the remaining amount spread over subsequent feedings to ensure survival and immunity.
