TEXAS TRAINING FORK
HEAVY HARNESS
A Texas training fork, or training martingale, is used to encourage a horse to carry its head in a lower, collected position. It's particularly helpful in Western riding and disciplines like Arabian training where a lower head carriage is desired.
The fork applies pressure to the poll and neck when the horse lifts its head too high, helping to teach the horse to carry its head correctly and in a collected manner.
