WHY USE A TIE-DOWN ?

A tie-down noseband, also known as a martingale or tiedown, is a strap used on horses to limit how high the horse can raise its head.

Tie-downs are particularly useful for events like barrel racing or roping where quick turns and stops are required. By limiting head movement, the rider can better direct the horse and maintain control during high-speed maneuvers.
